Chuck joined the company in June 2007 and serves as Chairman and CEO of TheTrackShack.com and House of Hansen Productions, LLC, in addition to being a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 12, the Strokeland Super Band, and R&B/Funk band, Hip Service.
Prior to founding the House of Hansen Productions, Chuck was CEO of Hansen Information Technologies, a leading provider of government solutions, which he sold to Infor Global Solutions in April 2007.
Today, Chuck combines his Web 2.0 application skills with legendary musicians and producers to deliver a suite of 'next generation' web tools that help TheTrackShack users to digitize, market, and broadcast their music to a worldwide audience.
Chuck has a life-long involvement with music, including performing, recording, producing, internet radio broadcasting, and artist development. At 17, Chuck was named to the Monterey Jazz Festival High School All Star Band, where he played baritone sax behind Dizzy Gillespie, Mundell Lowe, and Louie Belson. During his college days – first as an undergraduate at Berkeley and later earning his MBA at UCLA -- he earned extra money playing gigs in LA. In 2006, Chuck took the stage with Huey Lewis and The News as part of a private corporate-sponsored appearance and has been a a Super Patron for the International Association of Jazz Educators.
In January 2008, he launched TheTrackShack.com, including 15 genre-based Internet radio stations dedicated to showcasing new artists. Chuck also teamed with long-time friends Doc Kupka and TheTrackShack.com President Jeff Tamelier -- both of legandary R&B/Funk band Tower of Power -- to produce Bumped Up To First Class. Released as a House of Hansen Production, and the first CD to make its complete song library available by individual tracks, the CD features Huey Lewis, Cold Blood’s Lydia Pense, SNL’s Lenny Pickett, Santana’s Chester Thompson, and vocals from Edgar Winter. In addition to his producing credits, Chuck is also featured as part of the Strokeland Superband horn section and soloist, playing baritone and bass saxophones.
Chuck is also working with Doc, producing a new project with legendary Hollywood conductor William ‘Bill’ Ross, who conducted the 2007 Oscar's orchestra and has been musical director for Barbra Streisand's last three world tours.
As part of House of Hansen Productions LLC and TheTrackShack, Chuck opened a brand new 10,000 sq. ft. recording studio, one of the largest in Northern California.
