The Vision
 

TheTrackShack.com is a digital entertainment property of House of Hansen Productions, LLC, that allows musicians and fans to buy & sell CDs, Songs and Production Tracks, create virtual studios, access royalty-free licks & loops from legendary musicians, and get airplay over a fan-driven multi-channel internet radio network.   House of Hansen Productions LLC is a new breed of company helping to revolutionize the music industry, serving both indie bands and heritage artists to monetize digital music catalogs.

 

TheTrackShack.com is the first of its kind musicians-oriented website dedicated to buying and selling music by the slice.  In addition to selling songs, TheTrackShack.com has developed a sophisticated web engine to allow users and labels to offer their individual tracks (e.g. guitar only, drumbeats only, vox, mix minus drums), dramatically increasing the number of sales point.

 

Launched in August 2006, House of Hansen Productions, LLC, headquartered in Sacramento, California. Focused on providing a robust marketplace for digital music, House of Hansen Productions includes artists, bands, producers, web developers, touring & studio musicians, and creative artists.


The Team
Chuck Hansen - Chairman and CEO   

Chuck joined the company in June 2007 and serves as Chairman and CEO of TheTrackShack.com and House of Hansen Productions, LLC, in addition to being a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 12, the Strokeland Super Band, and R&B/Funk band, Hip Service.   

 

Prior to founding the House of Hansen Productions, Chuck was CEO of Hansen Information Technologies, a leading provider of government solutions, which he sold to Infor Global Solutions in April 2007.

 

Today, Chuck combines his Web 2.0 application skills with legendary musicians and producers to deliver a suite of  'next generation' web tools that help TheTrackShack users to digitize, market, and broadcast their music to a worldwide audience.

 

Chuck has a life-long involvement with music, including performing, recording, producing, internet radio broadcasting, and artist development.  At 17, Chuck was named to the Monterey Jazz Festival High School All Star Band, where he played baritone sax behind Dizzy Gillespie, Mundell Lowe, and Louie Belson.  During his college days – first as an undergraduate at Berkeley and later earning his MBA at UCLA -- he earned extra money playing gigs in LA.  In 2006, Chuck took the stage with Huey Lewis and The News as part of a private corporate-sponsored appearance and has been a a Super Patron for the International Association of Jazz Educators.

 

In January 2008, he launched TheTrackShack.com, including 15 genre-based Internet radio stations dedicated to showcasing new artists.  Chuck also teamed with long-time friends Doc Kupka and TheTrackShack.com President Jeff Tamelier -- both of legandary R&B/Funk band Tower of Power -- to produce Bumped Up To First Class.  Released as a House of Hansen Production, and the first CD to make its complete song library available by individual tracks, the CD features Huey Lewis, Cold Blood’s Lydia Pense, SNL’s Lenny Pickett, Santana’s Chester Thompson, and vocals from Edgar Winter.  In addition to his producing credits, Chuck is also featured as part of the Strokeland Superband horn section and soloist, playing baritone and bass saxophones. 

 

Chuck is also working with Doc, producing a new project with legendary Hollywood conductor William ‘Bill’ Ross, who conducted the 2007  Oscar's orchestra and has been musical director for Barbra Streisand's last three world tours.

 

As part of House of Hansen Productions LLC and TheTrackShack, Chuck opened a brand new 10,000 sq. ft. recording studio, one of the largest in Northern California.

Jeff Tamelier - President & Chief Creative Officer   

Jeff is responsible for all music production, online content and digial music services for the company. An established artist, musician, producer, and educator, prior to joining House of Hansen Productions, LLC, Jeff toured as lead guitarist for Tower of Power, endorsing a number of cutting-edge companies, like Dunlop, Fender, and Monster Cable.

 

Jeff learned the fundamentals of playing guitar at age 9 from blind teacher and mentor, Jim Phillips, aka "Blindgym," joining his first band at age 11. In 1985, Jeff joined 'Lydia Pense and Cold Blood,' another popular East Bay band from Bill Graham's San Francisco label. In 1991, Jeff joined with Mickey Thomas and 'Starship' touring worldwide.

 

Jeff has produced artists from all walks of life, including Alternative, Country, Funk, Hip-Hop, R&B, Smooth Jazz, and Techno. Today, as President of House of Hansen Productions, LLC, Jeff is building the #1 destination website for online digital music.

Zaqary Whitnack - Creative Director   

Zaqary is a creative media specialist for television and web based ventures. Zaqary started as a producer for a national television show called "Scratch" where he worked to promote and advertise the program in the top 30 markets across the country. He soon teamed up on another national show titled "Pulse" to do the same. Soon after Zaqary left broadcast to become the Creative Services Director for Scitex Digital, a $44 million a year computer hardware company. As a freelancer his creative services have been called upon by Disneyland Advertising, Panasonic, ESPN, Cisco Systems, HP to name a few. His work has been recognized with multiple awards, including three N.A.T.A.S. Emmy's Awards.

Richard Brown, Talent Coordinator & Producer   

 

Richard started playing guitar at the age of five by watching the Beatles and James Brown on “The Ed Sullivan Show”. He was convinced that he wanted to be a musician like Paul McCartney and James Brown. He states, “I was the only African American kid in the neighborhood who wanted to be like Paul from the Beatles.”  Originally from Richmond CA, Richard now lives in Sacramento CA.

 

Richard was taught how to play guitar by his Aunt Irene Combs, who also taught a host of cousins how to play and sing in church. Richard is from a very musical family that includes Gospel singer Dorothy Morrison, who was the lead vocalist on the classic gospel song Oh happy Day, that was recorded by the Edwin Hawkins Singers. Also he is the cousin of Guitarist, Bass player Levi Seacer Jr. from Prince and the NPG.

 

At the age of fifteen, Richard picked up the Bass Guitar and the rest is history, He developed his funky style by learning songs from Sly and the family Stone, Larry Graham, Bootsy Collins, Stanley Clark, Lewis Johnson and Prince. 

 

Richard was blessed to have the opportunity to perform with the legendary Sheila E., Peter Michael Escovedo, Sheena Easton, Vickie Winans, the Gospel stage play “God is trying to tell you something,” “Somebody ought to tell God Thank you” with Vickie Winans, Yolanda Adams and David C. from the Temptations”, the stage play Aint Misbehavin, GMWA Sacramento Metropolitan Choir, Eugene Cole and much more.

 

Richard is also the Bass Player for Sacramento’s Funkiest Party Band Hip Service and plays bass for the Saint Paul Baptist Church in Sac Ca.

 

In January 2007, Richard became a Talent Coordinator and Producer for TheTrackShack.com.
